August 2026 Monthly Meeting News
We had a good turnout for the August meeting with 34 members and guests attending. Several OCIPMS members attended the IPMS National convention in Fort Wayne Indiana in early August, and they shared their experiences with the club members along with some awards that were won.
Next month we will be getting ready for OrangeCon, Mark Deliduka talked about judging and other issues he will be covering next month.
The topic for the month was a detailed discussion of Gundam models presented by the OCIPMS Gundam experts providing their insight into the genre.
Sean brought in the “best of” trophies that will be awarded at OrangeCon this year, the theme is American Spirit – celebrating 250 Years of Independence!
The Theme for the monthly contest was aircraft carriers, and the tables were covered with carrier models.
Next month’s theme will be AIRLINERS and SPACE CRAFT
